When shopping for sheet music try to look for compilations
with songs that interest you rather than buying individual sheet
music. Over the long run it will cost less, expose you to more
music and, unless you put the sheet music immediately into a
binder, it will be far harder to lose.
<<Look for my recommended books for
the beginning and intermediate vocal student here.>>
sheetmusicplus.com
- Sheet Music Plus carries the full stock of Schirmer and Hal
Leonard editions as well as a comprehensive catalog of vocal
and instrumental sheet music:

downloadable sheet music online with over 15000 songs available
as printable sheet music for about 25¢ a page.

hard to find sheet music. Also offers used music but that part
was broken last time I visited them.
If that's not enough music stores, check out this link
from Hal Leonard which lists all the on-line music stores
that carry their books. If you own an Anthology book it was
probably published by Hal
Leonard. Joan
Boytim publishes monthly articles on their site which center
around repertoire selection.
